The Kapro 872G Prolaser® Plus is a green beam cross laser that projects horizontal and vertical lines crossing at a 90° angle. The green diode boosts visibility in bright indoor spaces, making the line clear even on light surfaces and at longer distances. The basic range is up to 30 m without a receiver, and in pulse mode, you can pair it with a detector to extend the work area to 60 meters.
Accuracy is ±0.2 mm/m, letting you handle even the trickiest alignment and finishing jobs. Self-leveling works within ±3° using a pendulum mechanism; if it's outside that range, the 872G alerts you with both visual and audio signals. This prevents errors and speeds up work in changing conditions.
Manual slope adds more options—turn off self-leveling and set the line to a specific angle for things like marking slopes or angled installs. With beam selection (H/V), you can show just the lines you need, improving visibility and saving battery.
The housing is IP54-rated against dust and splashes. The ergonomic design and non-slip grips make it easy to handle on site. It comes with 3xAA batteries, a 1/4" tripod thread, and a 5/8" adapter, so it fits both light and heavy tripods.
Uses:
Drywall and interior walls – The cross line gives a consistent horizontal reference for drop ceilings, trim, and wall coverings, plus a vertical line for aligning frames, jambs, and partitions. Self-leveling speeds things up, and ±0.2 mm/m accuracy ensures straight lines even on long runs. Use pulse mode and receiver to extend lines through open spaces and long hallways.
Tiling and wet areas – The horizontal line sets row starting heights and upper limits, while the vertical ensures straight grout lines. Manual slope lets you mark slight inclines, like in shower areas. The green beam's great visibility cuts down on marking errors under work lights.
Electrical and HVAC installs – Vertical line makes it easy to align risers and ducts from floor to ceiling, horizontal supports consistent heights for switches and outlets. Tripod mount (1/4" + 5/8" adapter) adds stability for long distances and repeated measurements.
Finishing and decor work – Installing cabinets, baseboards, sills, and curtain rods goes faster when you transfer the same height and straightness across the room. Beam selection (just H or just V) clarifies the view for precise layouts and boosts work quality.

Features:
Beam config: 1H + 1V cross at 90° – covers horizontal and vertical alignments in one setup.
Green beam: Clear visibility indoors – allows longer work distances without a receiver.
Accuracy: ±0.2 mm/m – perfect for demanding finishing and alignment tasks.
Self-leveling: ±3° pendulum mechanism – quick setup even on uneven surfaces.
Pulse mode + receiver: Up to 60 m – reliable line in bright light and long ranges.
Out-of-level alert: Audio and light signals – prevents errors when the base isn't level.
Manual slope: Tiltable lines – for slopes and angled structures.
IP rating: IP54 – dust and splash protection for job sites.
Mounting: 1/4" tripod thread + 5/8" adapter – works with light and heavy tripods.
Power: 3xAA – widely available, auto-off extends runtime.
Range: 30 m without receiver / 60 m with – versatile work area.
Kapro 872G manual:
Startup and leveling – Place on a stable surface or tripod. Turn on power; in auto mode, self-leveling works within ±3°. Wait for it to level before marking. If out of range, lines flash and buzzer sounds – reposition on a steadier surface.
Beam selection and manual slope – Choose H, V, or H+V. Activate manual mode with a long press for tilted lines; flashing indicator reminds you self-leveling is off. Make your marks and switch back to auto-level for straight lines next.
Pulse mode and receiver – Use pulse for outdoor or long distances. Pair with a compatible receiver and adjust height until the center tone/LED is on target. This improves readability in bright light.
Maintenance and storage – Clean optics with a soft, lint-free cloth. Lock the pendulum for transport (if your model has it). Store dry, protect from impacts, remove batteries for long-term storage.
Warnings:
Class 2 laser: Don't look directly at the beam or its bright reflections; keep bystanders safe.
Secure mounting; dropping can damage optics and calibration.
IP54 isn't waterproof; avoid heavy wetting or pressure washing.
Don't use in explosive environments.
Use only recommended batteries; remove for long-term storage.
FAQ:
What's the 872G's beam combo? Horizontal and vertical lines crossing at 90°; use separately or together.
Can I use it outdoors? Yeah. With pulse mode and receiver, range is up to 60 m. Visibility by eye depends on lighting and background.
Can I make sloped lines? Yep. Manual slope disables self-leveling so you can set the line to your desired angle (flashing shows the mode).
What's the accuracy and self-leveling range? Accuracy ±0.2 mm/m and self-leveling ±3°.
What's included? Cross laser 872G, 3xAA batteries, 5/8" adapter, and carry pouch (extras depending on the set).
