Aluminum straightedges/line boards are great for measuring and leveling jobs where you need perfectly straight or even surfaces. They're especially handy for leveling floor joists, but you can also use them to check levels on framing and as long saw guides, like when cutting building panels.

Aluminum straightedges come in several different sizes with beveled edges. The length you want depends on what you're using it for. With long line boards, you can measure height differences across multiple joist setups, level them out, and smooth out big batches of floor leveling compound all at once.

All line boards are made from tough, lightweight aluminum, with a built-in support frame inside that keeps them from warping. They also have removable end caps, so you can shorten them by sawing if needed.
