The Kapro Bambino 842G is a compact green-beam cross laser that projects one horizontal and one vertical line. The center of the cross serves as a reliable reference for all alignments, and the green 510–530 nm beam improves visibility in well-lit indoor spaces. The device is designed for quick setup and easy movement even in tight installation areas.
Self-leveling works within ±3° using a pendulum mechanism. When the device is outside the leveling range, a clear indication (flashing/indicator light) prevents incorrect markings. Typical measurement accuracy is ±0.4 mm/m, which is sufficient for moldings, furniture installations, socket alignments and other interior work.
The included flexible tripod mounts to bars, railings, ladders or shelves. This frees up your hands for work and eliminates the need for a separate tripod. The device runs on two AA batteries, making it easy to power anywhere. The frame is IP54 splash and dust resistant for indoor use.

Intended use:

Furniture and interior design installations – The cross line provides a straight and accurate reference for installing wall cabinets, display cases, TV stands and groups of whiteboards. The flexible tripod makes it easy to get the laser at the right height by attaching the legs to a railing or the edge of a shelf. This reduces the number of measurements and speeds up alignment, as the horizontal and vertical lines are visible at the same time at a distance of at least a few meters.

Moldings and door frames – The horizontal line acts as a consistent reference for baseboards and headboards from room to room. The vertical line makes it easy to check the straightness of frames, corners and edge profiles. Manual slope allows for a slight tilt, for example in stepped structures, giving the line a deliberately uneven reference.

Electrical and small installations – The center of the cross acts as a quickly movable “zero point” for marking sockets, switches and cable routes. The vertical line makes it easy to align the risers between the ceiling and the floor. The flexible tripod also attaches to cable trays, allowing you to leave the laser pointing the line when your hands are busy.

Tiling and surface markings – The horizontal line sets the starting height and upper limits of rows; the vertical line ensures straightness of the joint division. The green beam is highly visible in bright work lights, improving readability and reducing errors, especially on light surfaces.

User manual

Features:

Beam configuration: 1H + 1V — creates a clear crosshair for quick aiming.

Green laser: 510–530 nm — improves visibility in bright indoor areas and on light surfaces.

Accuracy: ?±0.4 mm/m — sufficient accuracy for interior installations and finishing.

Self-leveling: ±3° with pendulum mechanism — quick setup; clear indication of overrange.

Manual tilt: allows for intentional tilting (falls, step references).

Operating range: typically ~20–30 m indoors depending on the background — smooth working indoors.

Power source: 2×AA batteries — easy access and quick replacement on site.

Mounting: 1/4? tripod thread + flexible tripod — flexible placement without a separate tripod.

Protection: IP54 — splash and dust protection for indoor working conditions.

Compact design: lightweight, easy to carry in a soft case.

Kapro Bambino 842G user manual:

Installation and leveling: Place the device on a flexible tripod and attach the legs firmly to the object (railing, pipe, shelf). Keep the device within the self-leveling range of ±3°; wait for the line/cross to stabilize before marking.

Beam selection: Start a horizontal, vertical or cross line. Use only the lines you need to save battery power.

Manual slope: Activate manual mode (long press). The line flashes or the indicator light indicates that self-leveling is not active. Adjust the desired slope (e.g. slopes) and make notes.

Height and center point: Align the center of the cross with a reference (e.g. the center of a power outlet). Move the device in small movements until the horizontal and vertical lines intersect at the desired point.

Maintenance: Clean the optics with a lint-free cloth. Remove dust and spills from the body. Store in a dry, soft case. Remove batteries if the device is not used for a long time.

Warnings:

Do not look directly into the laser beam or its strong reflections.

Ensure the tripod is securely attached; dropping the device can damage the optics and affect accuracy.

IP54 is not immersion protection — avoid working in the rain and pressure washing.

Do not use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Remove AA batteries for long-term storage.

Frequently Asked Questions, FAQ:
What beams does the 842G produce? One horizontal line and one vertical line that form a crosshair; the center of the crosshair acts as a quick reference point.
Can I use manual slope? Yes. In manual mode, the lines can be tilted intentionally; in this case, self-leveling is not active and this is indicated by a flashing/indicator light.
What is the accuracy and range? Typical accuracy is ±0.4 mm/m and the range indoors is approximately 20–30 m depending on the background and lighting.
What power does the device use? 2×AA batteries, which are easy to replace on site. We recommend high-quality alkaline batteries.
How do you mount the device without a stand? The flexible tripod mounts to pipes, railings and shelves. Make sure the legs are securely tightened to prevent slipping.
