The Sthor 4D 16-line green line laser is an advanced measuring device that projects a comprehensive 360-degree laser line system into the workspace. The device produces two horizontal and two vertical 360-degree circles, creating a total of 16 green lines. These lines enable precise alignment of surfaces, determination of right angles, and simultaneous transfer of height levels on the floor, walls, and ceiling. The green laser beam provides excellent visibility compared to traditional red beams, making work easier even in brighter conditions. The 4D lines projected by the device cover the entire space comprehensively without the need for repeatedly moving the device.

This line laser is equipped with an self-leveling function, which activates automatically when the device is within a ±3 degree tilt angle. If the tilt exceeds this limit, the device flashes a warning signal, ensuring continuous accuracy of the projected lines. Self-leveling can also be manually locked, allowing laser lines to be projected at a desired angle, for example, when aligning staircases or other angled structures. The device operates on a powerful 3.7V Li-Ion battery, and the included remote control allows for line selection and control from a distance, improving workflow and preventing changes in the device's position during adjustment.

The technical features of the line laser cover a wide working range, up to 20 meters depending on ambient lighting conditions. The laser's measurement accuracy is ±0.3 mm/m, ensuring reliable results even in demanding installation tasks. The device is designed to withstand construction site conditions, and its IP54 rating provides protection against dust and splashing water. The versatile accessories included, such as an adjustable wall bracket with strong magnets, a lifting platform, and threads for tripod mounting (1/4″ and 5/8″), allow for flexible and sturdy attachment of the device to various surfaces and heights. The compact size and included carrying case facilitate easy transport and storage of the device.

Intended use:

  • Installation of ceiling structures and suspended ceilings: The device's upper 360-degree horizontal line allows for precise and rapid alignment of ceiling profiles, lighting fixtures, and ventilation ducts throughout the room. The green beam is clearly visible on the ceiling, facilitating the installation of hangers at the correct level without manual measurements at each point separately.
  • Erection of partition walls and frame structures: Two perpendicular 360-degree vertical lines form intersection points on the floor and ceiling, which speeds up the positioning of partition wall frames and ensures their straightness. 90-degree angles can be easily checked and transferred within the room, reducing measurement errors and speeding up the installation process.
  • Tiling and flooring installation: The lower 360-degree horizontal line is projected just above the floor surface, providing an accurate reference level for installing floor tiles, laminates, or other floor coverings. The vertical lines can be used to determine the starting lines for tiling and ensure the straightness of seams in both directions.
  • Installation of fitted furniture and shelves: With horizontal and vertical lines, kitchen cabinets, shelving units, pictures, and other wall-mounted elements can be aligned straight and at the correct height. With the magnetic bracket and lifting platform, the laser can be set to the exact height needed, ensuring accurate and efficient installation.
  • HVAC and electrical installations: Alignment of pipes, cable trays, and sockets on walls and ceilings can be done quickly and consistently throughout the space. The laser lines provide clear routes and installation heights, reducing the need for tape measures and spirit levels and ensuring neat installations.

Sthor Line Laser 4D 10023449 User Manual:

Before use, ensure that the device's Li-Ion battery is fully charged with the included charger. Carefully insert the charged battery into the device. Place the line laser on a stable, as level as possible surface or attach it to a suitable bracket (wall bracket, lifting platform, or tripod) using the device's threads. Ensure that the installation is sturdy and the device will not move during use.

Turn on the device by moving the power switch to the ”ON” position. The device will start in self-leveling mode and project laser lines. Wait a few seconds until the lines stop blinking, indicating that self-leveling is complete. After this, you can select the desired horizontal and vertical lines using the device's buttons or the remote control. If the device projects lines blinking and emits an audible signal, it is at too great an angle outside the self-leveling range (±3°). Adjust the device's position manually until it can self-level.

When using the tilt function/manual mode, turn on the device and hold down the line selection button for a few seconds until the laser lines illuminate. In this mode, self-leveling is deactivated, and the device projects fixed lines, allowing you to tilt the laser to the desired angle without alarms. Turn off the device by moving the power switch to the ”OFF” position after use. This also locks the laser pendulum, protecting it from shocks during transport. Always store the device in the included carrying case.

Warnings:

  • Laser radiation: Do not stare directly into the laser beam or direct it into the eyes of other people or animals. Laser class 2 can cause eye damage if the beam is viewed for a long time or through optical instruments.
  • Reflective surfaces: Be careful of laser beam reflections from mirrors or other shiny surfaces, as a reflected beam can be as dangerous as a direct beam.
  • Handling: The line laser is a precision measuring device. Handle it with care, avoid dropping it, strong vibration, and impacts that can damage the internal mechanism of the device and impair measurement accuracy.
  • Environmental conditions: Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, moisture, or rain. Use and store the device within the temperature range specified in the technical data.
  • Battery: Use only the original Li-Ion battery and charger. The use of an incorrect battery or charger can cause fire, explosion, or damage to the device. Do not disassemble, short-circuit, or expose the battery to heat.
  • Maintenance: Do not attempt to open or repair the device yourself. Device maintenance and repair must be left to an authorized service center.

Frequently Asked Questions, FAQ:

  • Question: How far is the green laser line visible?
Answer: The Sthor 4D line laser has a working range of approximately 20 meters. Visibility is significantly affected by ambient lighting conditions. In bright light, visibility is shorter than in dim light. However, a green beam is significantly more visible than a red one under similar conditions.
  • Question: Can this laser be used with a tripod?
Answer: Yes, the device has a 1/4″ thread at the bottom, and the package includes an adapter that allows the device to be attached to a standard construction site tripod with a 5/8″ thread as well.
  • Question: How does the self-leveling function work?
Answer: Inside the device is a pendulum mechanism that automatically finds the horizontal level when the device is placed within a ±3 degree tilt range. If the device is tilted more, the laser lines will blink, and the device will emit an audible signal, indicating that it cannot self-level.
  • Question: Can laser lines be projected at an angle, for example, on a staircase?
Answer: Yes, by switching off self-leveling (manual mode), you can tilt the laser to your desired angle. In this case, the pendulum locks, and the laser lines are projected at a fixed angle without an alarm.
  • Question: What does "4D laser" mean?
Answer: A 4D laser projects four 360-degree laser circles: two horizontal (one at the top, one at the bottom) and two vertical (perpendicular to each other). This creates a total of 16 lines that cover the entire room with a single setup.

Recycling instructions:

Packaging materials: Recycle cardboard and paper packaging in paper collection and plastic packaging in plastic collection according to local guidelines.

Electronic waste (WEEE): Do not dispose of the line laser, remote control, or charger with household waste. These are electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and should be delivered to an appropriate collection point for recycling.

Batteries: The Li-Ion battery must be removed from the device before disposal. Do not dispose of the battery with mixed waste. Deliver used batteries to a battery collection point, such as collection boxes in stores, with terminals protected from short circuits.
