The Kapro 962G Prolaser® Multi-Beam Orbital is a green beam level laser with a 360° horizontal line laser, one vertical line, and two plumb points (up and down). It covers typical leveling and alignment tasks, plus vertical alignments and point transfers from floor to ceiling. The green beam improves visibility indoors compared to red lasers. Accuracy is ±0.3 mm/m, and self-leveling works in a ±3° range with pendulum suspension.
The device has a pulse mode that lets you pair it with a receiver (like the Kapro 894-04G) for outdoor use and long-distance jobs. Range is up to 30 m without a receiver and 60 m with one. IP65 protection ensures dust-tightness and safeguards against low-pressure water jets, so it's great for tough job site conditions.
It supports two modes: automatic self-leveling where lines and points lock quickly into level, and manual mode for slope alignments (like drains and steps). In manual mode, the beams flash to show it's not self-leveling. You can also cycle through beam selections (all / horizontal / vertical / plumb points) to save battery and improve visibility.
Mounting options include 1/4" and 5/8" tripod threads plus a versatile magnetic mount for quick attachment to steel frames or stands. Operating temperature range is typically -10…+45 °C. Visibility and alignment are easy to check with the included laser receiver.
Power supply depends on the package: standard kit includes 4×AA batteries and a rechargeable battery. It works with an outdoor receiver in pulse mode too. Storage and transport are in a hard protective case.

Uses:

Bathroom and tiling installs – The 360° horizontal line makes starting rows and setting slopes a breeze. Manual mode lets you mark drains on floors and surfaces, while the vertical line checks corners and shower walls for straightness. Plumb points transfer points from floor to ceiling, like for penetrations.

Drywall and stud walls – Vertical line and plumb points speed up framing, door openings, and corner alignments. The magnetic mount attaches to steel studs without extra clamps. With receiver, 60 m range handles long alignments in open spaces.

Finishing and trim work – 360° horizontal line gives a continuous reference for baseboards, window sills, and curtain lines around the whole room. Green beam is easy to spot in bright indoors, speeding up measurements and installs.

Outdoor work and yards – Pulse mode + receiver allows leveling and alignment outside in bright light when naked-eye visibility is poor. IP65 rating protects from dust and splashes in varying job site conditions.

Features:

Beam content: 360° horizontal line, 1 vertical line, 2 plumb points — covers leveling, vertical alignment, and floor-to-ceiling point transfer.

Beam color: Green — better visibility indoors.

Accuracy: ±0.3 mm/m — great for precise installs and finishing.

Self-leveling: ±3° with pendulum mechanism — quick setup on uneven surfaces.

Pulse mode: Compatible with receiver, range up to 60 m — for outdoor use and long shots.

Manual mode (tilt): Line tilt for slope marking — e.g., setting drains.

IP rating: IP65 — dust-tight and protected from low-pressure water jets.

Range: 30 m without receiver / 60 m with — flexible for different distances.

Mounting: 1/4" and 5/8" tripod threads + magnetic mount — quick job site setups.

Operating temperature: -10…+45 °C — works in typical job site conditions.

Power: 4×AA (standard); some kits have rechargeable battery — pick what fits your needs.

Kapro 962G user manual:
Startup and self-leveling – Place on a stable surface or tripod. Power on with the slide switch; in auto mode, it levels itself in ±3° range and projects 360° horizontal, vertical line, and plumb points. Wait for leveling before marking.
Beam selection – Pick your combo (all / horizontal / vertical / plumb points) with short presses to boost visibility and cut power use.
Manual mode (slope) – Hold beam selector ~3 s to activate. Beams flash every 3 s to show no self-leveling. Set your slope and mark.
Pulse mode and receiver – Turn on pulse for outdoors or long distances. Pair with e.g. Kapro 894-04G receiver; range up to 60 m. Follow receiver instructions for alignment.
Maintenance – Wipe optics with soft, lint-free cloth. Protect from impacts and moisture; dry after use. Check calibration regularly with field test per manual.

Warnings:

Don't look directly into laser beam; use safety glasses if needed and watch for bystanders.

Make sure it's securely mounted; tipping can damage optics and accuracy.

Don't use in explosive areas or heavy rain longer than IP65 allows.

Remove batteries or battery for long-term storage.

Follow job site safety rules and watch for reflections from shiny surfaces.
