Wedge for tightening tiles in a tile leveling system. With the tightening wedges and leveling wedges, you can achieve a flat result where all edges of the tiles are perfectly level.
The system levels the tiles to the same plane, so there are no height differences between them. A perfect tool for both DIY enthusiasts and pros who want perfect results quickly.
When installing floor tiles, it's super important that they're all on the same level. Getting tiles even can be tricky even for pros and take a ton of time. Uneven floor tiles feel awful to walk on, and the height differences at the edges can stub your toes and look bad in indirect light.
Tightening wedges can be reused.
Instructions
Spread the right amount of adhesive on a flat surface using the appropriate notched trowel.
Place the leveling wedge between two floor tiles so that the foot part goes under the tiles and the upright part between them. The upright part automatically creates a joint the width of the wedge.
Push the tightening wedge through the leveling wedge so it rests on top of both tiles.
Tighten the tightening wedge against the leveling wedge using pliers, so the tile edges come level.
Repeat the process across the whole floor, so the entire floor is level with no unevenness between tiles.
Once the adhesive is dry, remove the tightening parts from the wedges and tap the wedges lightly.
When tapping the wedges, they break neatly along the break lines on the base, then you can sweep the broken pieces off the floor.
The leveling wedges stay hidden under the grout. Grout works best with a good quality grout float.
Once the grout is dry, clean loose grout from the tiles, for example with a tile cleaning kit.
