The included 875 PROLASER® ALL-LINES RED laser comes with a rechargeable battery, mini-USB cable, and a battery holder for four AA batteries, so you can use it with regular AA batteries too. Pulse mode extends the detection range up to 50 meters when used with a separate detector.
