Edma Depth stop + tip for drywall screws with magnet turns the screwdriver into a tool optimized for drywall screwing and significantly speeds up installation. The integrated depth stop always installs the screws to the correct depth, and when the target depth is reached, the stop clicks audibly. After the click, the stop prevents the screw from advancing any deeper, even if the drill is not stopped, which eliminates the risk of overtightening and keeps the surface paper intact.
Magnetic retention makes it easy to start the screw, especially overhead and in tight spaces. The product comes with a removable/replaceable PH2 bit, making maintenance straightforward. Designed for professional use where repeatability, speed and a clean finish are crucial.
The product is supplied with a removable PH2 bit that can be easily replaced as it wears out. This extends the service life and reduces maintenance costs. The reverse function allows for controlled removal of screws without unnecessary damage to the board.
The compact design and light weight (approx. 0.07 kg) of the limiter make it comfortable to use even in tight spaces. It is suitable for common drills and screwdrivers, and works with drywall screws used in both wood and steel studs.
The product is designed for professional use, where repeatability, a clean finish and installation speed are key requirements.

Intended use

Fastening plasterboard to a frame (wood/steel): The depth stop ensures that the screw is driven in to the correct depth, preventing the surface paper from breaking and maintaining the adhesion of the filler. This reduces rework and improves the overall quality, especially in wall and ceiling constructions. The magnet makes it easier to position the screw and shortens the cycle time for each fastening point.

Roofing and overhead screwdriving: The magnet minimizes screw drop and makes it easier to work with one hand. The stop collar acts as a mechanical depth stop, helping to maintain a consistent depth of penetration even in awkward working positions, thus reducing the time spent correcting errors.

Repair and maintenance work: The reverse function allows for controlled removal of incorrectly installed or overtightened screws. The replaceable PH2 bit allows for quick replacement of consumables, ensuring uninterrupted work and keeping costs under control.

Edma Depth Stopper – User Manual

Installation on the tool: Attach the depth stop to the screwdriver chuck. Make sure the PH2 bit is locked properly and the magnet is free of metal dust.

Settings: Practice a few test screws to achieve the right feel for the disc.

Screwing: Place the screw on the tip; the magnet holds it in place. Press the collar against the board and screw until the stopper stops the advance. The screw remains under the paper surface in a controlled manner.

Fix: Use reverse to remove incorrectly installed screws. Avoid excessive force to avoid damaging the board.

Maintenance: Replace worn PH2 tip with a new one. Clean magnet regularly and check collar for gypsum dust that could affect depth.

Warnings

Use only for the purposes for which the product is intended (drywall screws, PH2).

Avoid using too high a speed; this can reduce depth accuracy and cause the paper to tear.

Keep fingers and clothing away from rotating parts. Wear safety glasses and, if necessary, hearing protection.

The magnet may affect magnetic cards or sensitive devices – keep them separate.
