A frame screw drill or frame drill is a drill bit intended for drilling holes for adjusting screws in door and window frames. A frame screw drill simultaneously drills a narrow through hole and a wider clamping hole in the frame. The bit has a removable tip that can be removed using a hexagon socket.

Choose the right size frame drill bit for your screw. Then drill a hole in the frame so that the smaller bit goes all the way through the frame. The larger hole should be well inside the frame so that it doesn't split when you tighten the set screw. You can drill the larger hole a little deeper if you have shorter set screws. Then sink the set screw into the hole and tighten to the desired tightness.
