Roofer's and scaffolding installer's hammer with rubber grip.
Scaffolding hammers are commonly used as tools for erecting and dismantling scaffolding. The pointed spike on the hammer fits into the slots in the scaffolding, making it easy to use as a lever to turn the scaffolding into the correct position for assembly. In addition to the hammer, spiked ratchets and 22 mm sockets are also commonly used as tools in scaffolding construction.
The rubber handle on the hammer is glued in place, not riveted. This prevents the handle from compressing or cracking over time.
