Level laser Kapro 962 1V+1P, green laser IP65
The Kapro 962G Prolaser® Multi-Beam Orbital is a green-beam level laser with a 360° horizontal line laser, one vertical line and two plumb points (up and down). The package covers typical leveling and alignment tasks as well as vertical alignments and point transfers in the floor-to-ceiling direction. The green beam improves visibility indoors compared to red lasers. The accuracy is ±0.3 mm/m and the self-leveling works in the ±3° range with pendulum suspension.
The device offers a pulse mode that allows the laser to be connected to a receiver (e.g. Kapro 894-04G) for outdoor use and long work distances. The range is up to 30 m without a receiver and 60 m with a receiver. IP65 protection ensures dust tightness and protection against low-pressure water jets, making the device suitable for demanding construction site conditions.
Two operating modes are supported: automatic self-leveling, where lines and points quickly lock into the plane, and manual mode for slope alignments (e.g. slopes and steps). In manual mode, the beams flash to indicate that the device is not self-leveling. In addition, a beam selection cycle (all / horizontal / vertical / plumb points) is available, which saves battery power and improves visibility.
There are two mounting options: 1/4" and 5/8" tripod threads and a multi-purpose magnetic mount that allows the laser to be quickly attached to steel frames or racks. The operating temperature range is typically -10…+45 °C. The visibility and alignment of the device is easy to ensure with the included laser receiver.
Power supply depending on the scope of delivery: the manufacturer's standard delivery includes 4×AA batteries and a rechargeable battery. The device also works with an external receiver in pulse mode. Storage and transport are carried out in a hard protective case.
Intended use:
Bathroom and tiling installations – The 360° horizontal line makes it easy to start rows and define slopes. Manual mode allows you to mark slopes on floors and surfaces, while the vertical line helps ensure straightness in corners and shower walls. Plumb points allow you to move a point from the floor to the ceiling, for example for penetrations.
Drywall and solid walls – The plumb line and plumb points make it quick to align frames, doorways and corners. The magnetic mount attaches to steel frames without separate clamps. With the receiver, the 60 m range is enough for long alignments in open spaces.
Trim and moulding work – 360° horizontal line provides a continuous reference for baseboards, window sills and curtain lines throughout the room. The green beam is easily visible in bright interiors, speeding up measurement marking and installation.
Outdoor and Yard Work – Pulse mode + receiver allows for leveling and alignment outdoors in bright light when visibility to the naked eye is reduced. IP65 rating protects against dust and splashes in the varying conditions of the jobsite.

Kapro 962G user manual:
Start-up and self-leveling – Place the device on a stable surface or tripod. Turn on the power using the slide switch; in automatic mode, the device levels itself within ±3° and projects a 360° horizontal line, vertical line and plumb points. Wait for leveling before marking.
Beam Selection – Select the desired combination (all / horizontal / vertical / bullet points) with short presses to improve visibility and reduce power consumption.
Manual mode (slope) – Press the beam selector for approx. 3 s to activate manual mode. The beams will flash every 3 s to indicate that leveling is not in use. Set the desired slope and make notes.
Pulse mode and receiver – Activate pulse mode for outdoor use or long distances. Connect e.g. Kapro 894-04G receiver; range up to 60 m. Follow the receiver's operating instructions for alignment.
Maintenance – Wipe the optics with a soft, lint-free cloth. Protect the device from shock and moisture; dry after use. Check calibration regularly with a field calibration test according to the user manual.
Warnings:
Do not look directly into the laser beam; wear safety glasses if necessary and watch out for passersby.
Make sure the device is securely attached; falling over can damage the optics and reduce accuracy.
Do not use in explosive atmospheres or under heavy rain for longer than IP65 allows.
Remove the batteries or rechargeable battery for long-term storage.
Follow construction site safety instructions and be careful of reflections from shiny surfaces.
