The Kapro Apollo Spirit Level with Handles (985XL) is a versatile box-type spirit level that helps with the installation of straight and inclined surfaces in construction, installation and interior design work. At the heart of the structure are three fixed acrylic vials (horizontal, vertical and 45°), with a nominal accuracy of ±0.5 mm/m. This covers general leveling needs, from aligning planes, frames, machine bases and equipment stands to checking angles.

Vertical measurements are accelerated by the patented Plumb Site® Dual-View™ solution. This allows the plumb bubble to be read directly from the front without looking to the side, reducing parallax errors and facilitating installations in tight spaces such as doorways, framing and risers. With the plumb visible from the front, alignment is straightforward, even when working alone.

The horizontal bubble supports basic leveling, and the 45° bubble speeds up the layout of moldings, railings and surfaces that require tilting. Apollo can be turned completely upside down, so the same tool is suitable for both floor and roof leveling, and for checking the bottom and top surfaces of beams, for example, in parallel.

The base is finely milled, which improves contact with the measuring surface and reduces slipping, especially on hard and smooth surfaces. The ends have protections that absorb shock and help maintain the functionality of the tool in construction site conditions.

The Ergo Grip™ handles are comfortable and secure, even during long installations. They make it easy to control the level with one hand and support a stable grip when aligning overhead.

Intended use:

Drywall and Interior Cladding – Aligning wall frames, joists and paneling requires frequent checking of vertical and horizontal alignment. Plumb Site® Dual-View™ allows for a plumb reading directly from the front, making it easy to verify alignment without reaching to the side. The finely milled base improves grip on drywall, painted surfaces and metal framing, making it easier to measure when working alone.
Pipe, HVAC and Duct Installations – Aligning pipes, ducts and risers requires both vertical and horizontal control. The handles provide a secure grip, and the fully rotatable body allows for floor and ceiling leveling with the same tool. The magnetic version is suitable for steel surfaces, keeping the ruler in place, leaving your hands free to close connections.
Door and window installations – When leveling frames and thresholds, the front view of the vertical bubble reduces misreadings and speeds up adjustment. The 45° bubble also helps to ensure the inclination of decorative moldings and window sills. The handles support a controlled grip when the frame is gently pushed in the right direction.
Wood construction and interior design – Straightening countertops, shelves, cabinets and furniture requires quick measurement repetition in different positions. The handle-equipped frame is easy to place and lift from one place to another, and the milled base improves contact with the wood. By turning the spirit level upside down, you can also check the straightness of the opposite edge of the structure without changing the tool.
Electrical and Fixing Work – When installing socket rows, cable ducts, rails and gutters, repeatability of measurements is important. Plumb Site® makes vertical alignment easy, and the 45° bubble level supports the placement of angled pull guides.

Features:

Accuracy: ±0.5 mm/m – Suitable for general construction and installation measurements without a separate calibration tool.
Bubbles: Fixed acrylic bubbles (horizontal, vertical, 45°) – Covers basic needs for straight and angled installations.
Plumb Site® Dual-View™: Front View of the Plumbing Level – Reduces parallax errors and speeds up setups.
Finely milled base: Improved contact with the measuring surface – More stable position and more accurate reading.
Handled body: Ergo Grip™ handles – A firm grip and controlled handling even when working overhead.
Fully rotatable frame: Allows for parallel inspection of floor and ceiling leveling and top and bottom surfaces.
45° spirit level: Speeds up the layout of angled moldings, railings and inclined surfaces.
End guards: Absorb impacts and protect the frame structure during work.

Kapro Spirit Level Apollo user manual:

Before use: Make sure the base and target surface are free of dust and debris. Check that the bubbles on the vials move freely.
Horizontal leveling: Place the spirit level on the surface and adjust until the bubble is between the center lines. Repeat at different points if necessary to ensure straightness along the entire length.
Checking the plumb: Place the spirit level on the side of the object and read the plumb bubble in the Plumb Site® window directly in front. Make fine adjustments until the bubble is centered.
45° angle check: Align the object according to the 45° markings on the spirit level. Useful for example in listing and slanted installations.
Inverted measurement: Turn the spirit level upside down when measuring a ceiling or overhead structures – the vials work the same when inverted.
Flip test to ensure accuracy: Mark the bubble position in the level measurement, turn the spirit level 180° to the same position and make sure the bubble stops at the same center.
Maintenance: Clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid solvents that can cloud the acrylic. Store in a dry place and away from direct UV light.

Warnings:

Do not use the product near live wires without taking appropriate precautions.
Risk of falling: avoid reaching onto scaffolding and ladders – always use a stable working position and fall protection if necessary.
Do not expose vials to strong solvents or heat.
Check functionality after a drop or hard impact before continuing work.
Keep out of reach of children.

Frequently Asked Questions, FAQ:
Does Apollo have a vertical bubble that can be read from the front?
Yes. Plumb Site® Dual-View™ provides a direct front view of the plumb bubble, making it easy to align plumbs.

What is the stated accuracy?
±0.5 mm/m. This covers common leveling needs in construction and installation.

Can the tool be used upside down?
Yes. The structure is designed to be fully reversible, so floor and ceiling leveling can be done with the same tool.

What is the difference between a 45° vial and a basic vial?
The 45° bubble speeds up the layout of inclined structures and moldings without a separate angle measure, while the horizontal and vertical bubbles cover basic leveling.
