The Kapro Spirit Level Genesis (789P) is a precision level designed for fast and reliable leveling in construction and installation work. The VPA-certified, fixed acrylic vials are epoxy-locked and impact-resistant, which supports repeatability of measurements in demanding conditions. The horizontal vial is enlarged and has gradient lines up to 2%, which makes it easier to measure small slopes without separate tools.
The Genesis’ vertical measurement is ensured by the patented Plumb Site® Dual-View™ solution. This allows the plumb bubble to be read directly from the front without turning the head, reducing parallax errors and speeding up work even in tight spaces. The solution improves vertical measurement accuracy, especially in installations where the target is at the side of the eyes.
The ends have shock-absorbing rubber protectors that absorb bumps and protect the frame on the jobsite. The Wall-Grip surface pattern improves grip on wall surfaces and facilitates one-handed use. These details support repeatability of measurement results and comfort of use.
The accuracy class is < 0.5 mm/m (0.0005 in/in) and the vials have a lifetime warranty.
Genesis is specifically designed for drywall, HVAC and plumbing applications, as well as general construction and interior design applications that require both fast alignment and tracking of small slopes. Drywall and Interior Cladding – Leveling and erecting wall frames, panel joints and casings. Plumb Site® Dual-View™ makes it easy to check verticality from the front, speeding up the process of joisting and frame alignment.
Plumbing and HVAC Installations – The enlarged horizontal level with grade lines allows for reliable tracking of small slopes (e.g. drain and condensate controls) without the need for separate angular conversion. The Dual-View readability of the vertical level reduces errors when aligning vertical pipes and risers in tight spaces.
General construction and installation work – Leveling door frames, window sills, countertops, shelves, machinery and equipment. Shock-absorbing ends withstand jobsite conditions, and UV-protected, epoxy-locked vials maintain their readability for a long time even under heavy use.

Kapro Spirit Level Genesis user manual:
Before use: Check that the base and measuring platform are free of dust and debris. Wipe the surface with a dry cloth. Make sure that the vials are intact and the bubbles move freely.
Horizontal leveling: Place the spirit level on the surface to be measured. Adjust the position until the bubble is between the two lines on the spirit level. Use the 0-2% slope lines if the target is a specific slope.
Checking plumb: Place the spirit level against the side of the object. Read the plumb bubble straight ahead through the Plumb Site® Dual-View™ window. Adjust the object until the bubble is centered.
Accuracy check (flip test): Place the spirit level on a level surface, mark the position of the bubble, turn the spirit level 180° at the same point and check that the bubble is centered. Deviation indicates the need for calibration.
Maintenance: Wipe the body and vials with a soft cloth after use. Avoid solvents that can dull the acrylic. Check periodically that the end caps are intact and the vials are closed. Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight.
Storage and transport: Protect the tool from impacts while transporting it. Do not store under heavy objects. For long-term storage, keep the tool horizontal to prevent uneven loading of the vials.
Warnings:
Do not use the spirit level near electrical wires without taking adequate precautions.
Risk of falling: do not work on ladders or scaffolding with one hand off the support; always use appropriate fall protection.
Do not expose vials to solvents or high heat – the acrylic may be damaged.
Check the accuracy regularly. Severe impacts or drops may affect the measurement result.
