Yato cup brush M14 65 mm nylon is a cleaning and pre-treatment brush with nylon fibers that can be attached to an angle grinder. Nylon is gentler than metal wire, making it especially suitable for wood, plastics and other soft materials where you want to remove dirt and weak coatings without strong material removal. The compact 65 mm diameter provides good visibility and control in tight spots, edges and shapes.
The cup design distributes the brushing evenly and makes it easy to clean large surfaces with consistent quality. The M14 thread is compatible with most angle grinders in the 115-125 mm class. The non-sparking nylon action is useful in dry, dusty applications and situations where a wire brush could darken the surface or leave metallic residue.
Typical applications include light pre-cleaning of paint and varnish surfaces with wood before sanding, cleaning garden and tool surfaces from dry splashes, and roughening plastic and composite surfaces to improve adhesion. With the right rotations and light pressure, a controlled finish is achieved, which reduces the workload of subsequent surface treatment stages.

Intended use:

Light removal of paint and varnish from wooden surfaces: Nylon removes flaking and weak layers without deep scratches. The micro-roughness of the surface improves the adhesion of subsequent sanding and primer when the work is done with light pressure and even strokes.

Roughening of soft materials (plastics, composites): When it is desired to increase the adhesion of an adhesive or coating, the flexible fiber of nylon provides a smooth roughening without changing the sharp edges of the geometry. This is especially useful for thin plastic components.

Cleaning tools and equipment: Dried-on spills and dirt can be removed from metal surfaces with moderate force without the aggressiveness of a wire brush. Use light pressure and assess the surface regularly to ensure that too much base material is not being removed.

Pre-cleaning the surface before sanding or painting: The cup shape allows for even contact, which opens up dust, dirt and weak layers. After this, sandpaper or a cleaning cloth finishes the surface.

Features:

Diameter: 65 mm – Compact size for tight spaces and precise work.

Mounting: M14 thread – Compatible with most angle grinders.

Bristle Material: Nylon Fiber – Non-sparking and softer touch; reduces scratching on wood and soft surfaces.

Structure: Cup brush – Even contact and controlled cleaning/mark.

Applications: Light paint/varnish removal, roughening, cleaning – Wood surfaces, plastics, composites and tool surfaces.

Instructions for use: Follow the maximum speed indicated on the packaging – Nylon can withstand the load, but overheating weakens the fiber.

Yato Cup Brush M14 65 mm nylon – user manual:

Installation: Disconnect the angle grinder from the power supply. Attach the brush to the M14 thread and tighten according to the manufacturer's instructions. Secure the protective shield.

Start slowly: Set a moderate RPM. Test on a small area and ensure smooth operation without abnormal vibration.

How to work: Hold the brush at a gentle angle, apply light pressure and make even strokes. Avoid prolonged point contact, which heats the fiber.

Pause and check: Stop regularly, remove loose material and check the fibers for wear.

Maintenance: Clean and dry after use. Store in a dry place, protected from UV and solvents.

Warnings:

Always wear safety glasses/visors, a respirator suitable for the dust level, protective gloves and, if necessary, hearing protection.

Do not exceed the maximum speed indicated on the packaging.

Do not use a damaged or unbalanced brush.

Avoid use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Keep out of reach of children.

Nylon is softer than metal wire – for heavy rust removal, prefer steel/Stainless steel wire brushes.

Frequently Asked Questions, FAQ:
Is the brush suitable for metal? Yes, for light cleaning and roughening. A wire brush is more effective for removing thick rust or stubborn coatings.
Does nylon leave scratches on wood? Less than metal wire. Use light pressure and pause between works to avoid polishing the surface or softening the fiber when heated.
Can I use it wet? Light wetting can reduce dust, but avoid getting water on electrical equipment. Always follow the angle grinder manufacturer's instructions.
When should you replace your brush? When the fibers are unevenly worn, the brush vibrates noticeably or the cup shows damage.

Recycling instructions:

Packaging: Cardboard/paper - recycling; plastic packaging - plastic collection.

Product: Metal cup - metal collection; nylon fibers - energy/mixed waste according to local regulations.
