Yato Cup Brush M14 65 mm RST is a compact cleaning brush that can be attached to an angle grinder for mechanical pre-treatment of metal surfaces. The brush surface made of stainless steel wire (INOX) is resistant to moisture and outdoor conditions, and does not easily leave iron particles that could cause cross-contamination on stainless surfaces. The small 65 mm diameter provides good visibility of the work area and precision in tight spaces.
The cup shape supports the bristle bundles and distributes the load evenly, making it easier to work on edges, corners and flat surfaces. The M14 thread is compatible with most common angle grinders in the 115-125 mm class. The brush effectively removes rust, flaking paint layers and oxide residues, and creates a uniform micro-roughening that improves the adhesion of the primer or coating.
The stiffness and durability of stainless steel wire are suitable for maintenance, renovation and cleaning of weld seams. With the right rotations and light to moderate pressure, a controlled, uniform finish is achieved without excessive removal of base material.

Intended use:

Rust and flaking paint removal: INOX wire cuts through corrosion and weak coatings to create a rough, adhesion-enhancing surface. Compact size makes it easy to work in corners, edges and tight spaces.

Cleaning of welding spatter and oxides: Suitable for seams and heat zones before grinding or coating. Uniform brushing reduces the need for grinding and speeds up subsequent work steps.

Maintenance outdoors and in humid conditions: Stainless steel wire withstands splashes and weather changes. The brush is suitable for railings, stair parts, machine parts and tanks without the risk of cross-contamination.

Surface roughening before coating/gluing: Produces a uniform microstructure without heavy material removal, which improves mechanical adhesion of primer, coatings and adhesives.

Features:

Diameter: 65 mm – Precise working in tight spaces and along edges.

Mounting: M14 thread – Compatible with most angle grinders.

Bristle material: Stainless steel wire (INOX) – Resistant to corrosion, reduces iron contamination on stainless surfaces.

Construction: Cup brush – Stable contact, controlled material removal and a smooth finish.

Applications: Rust, paint, oxide, light slag – For pre-treatment before painting/coating.

Instructions for use: Follow the maximum speed indicated on the packaging and always use the protective shield.

Yato Cup Brush M14 65 mm RST – user manual:

Installation: Disconnect the angle grinder from the power supply. Attach the brush to the M14 thread and tighten according to the manufacturer's instructions. Ensure the correct position of the protective shield.

Test run: Run at idle briefly; stop if abnormal vibration or “throwing” movement occurs.

Working: Work at a gentle angle with light to moderate pressure. Use even sweeping motions; avoid prolonged point contact, which will heat the surface.

Pause and check: Stop regularly, remove loose material and assess wear. Replace the brush if the wire has shortened unevenly or the cup is damaged.

Maintenance: Clean from dust and shavings; dry and store in a dry place. Do not forcefully straighten bent wires.

Warnings:

Always wear safety glasses/visors, a respirator suitable for the dust level, protective gloves and, if necessary, hearing protection.

Do not exceed the speed allowed by the brush/machine.

Do not use a damaged or unbalanced brush.

Keep flammable materials away from the sparking area; sparks may be generated by the workpiece.

Not for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Keep out of reach of children.

Frequently Asked Questions, FAQ:
Can the brush be used on stainless steel? Yes. INOX wire reduces cross-contamination from iron particles. Clean the surface after treatment for best results.
Is the brush suitable for aluminum? For light deoxidation and roughening, yes. Avoid excessive pressure and heat to avoid scratching the surface deeply.
What is the difference between a 65 mm and a 125 mm cup brush? The 65 mm offers better visibility and control in tight spaces; the 125 mm covers a larger area and is faster on large surfaces.
When should the brush be replaced? When the wire has clearly shortened unevenly, individual strands break or vibration increases.

Recycling instructions:

Packaging: Cardboard/paper - recycling; any plastic films - plastic collection.
