Yato Cup brush M6 25 mm RST
Yato Cup Brush M6 25 mm RST is a compact cleaning and pre-treatment brush for metal surfaces intended for drilling machines. The wire made of stainless steel (INOX) is resistant to moisture and reduces the risk of iron contamination on stainless steel surfaces. The small Ø25 mm diameter provides excellent visibility and control in crevices, corners and shaped profiles.
The cup structure distributes contact evenly and prevents edge biting, making the brush suitable for creating an even microstructure before priming, coating or gluing. The M6 attachment fits directly into a drill chuck or adapter, and the adjustable speed of the drill allows controlled work even on thin sheets and heat-sensitive objects.
Typical applications include removing rust, flaking paint and oxides, light cleaning of weld areas and pre-cleaning of small parts and details. When used correctly – with light to moderate pressure and appropriate speed – the brush produces a uniform surface without excessive material removal.
Intended use:
Removes rust and paint residue from tight spaces: Ø25 mm cup reaches into crevices, corners and narrow profiles. Even brushing removes corrosion and weak coatings, leaving a rough surface for subsequent coating to improve adhesion.
Light cleaning of weld areas and removal of oxides: The small brush is suitable for seams, edges and hard-to-reach areas where larger accessories will not work. The even finish reduces the need for post-sanding.
Surface roughening before coating/gluing: Mechanical roughening creates a uniform microstructure that improves the mechanical adhesion of adhesives and coatings, especially on small steel parts and joint surfaces.
Maintenance in outdoor and humid conditions: The corrosion resistance of INOX wire is suitable for local repairs of outdoor steel structures, pre-cleaning of railings and equipment parts without the risk of iron contamination.
Features:
Diameter: 25 mm – Very good accuracy for corners, crevices and small surfaces.
Mounting: M6 – Direct, central mounting to drill chuck/adapter; quick setup.
Bristle material: Stainless steel (INOX) – Resists corrosion and reduces iron contamination on stainless steel surfaces.
Construction: Cup Brush – Even contact and controlled material removal; reduces edge biting.
Targets: Rust, paint, oxides, light spatter – Pre-cleaning and roughening before coating/painting.
Usage: Adjustable speed – Work with light to moderate pressure to avoid overheating and uneven wear.
Yato Cup Brush M6 25 mm RST – user manual:
Installation: Disconnect the drill from the battery/mains. Attach the brush to the M6 mount/chuck straight and centrally; tighten according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Test run: Run at idle for a short time. Stop if there is any unusual vibration or “throwing”.
Working: Keep a gentle angle and use even strokes. Let the brush do the work; avoid point pressure and heat build-up.
Pause: Stop regularly, remove loose material and check for wear/imbalance.
Maintenance: Clean from dust and shavings; dry and store in a dry place. Do not forcefully straighten twisted wires.
Warnings:
Always wear safety glasses/visors, a respirator suitable for the dust level, protective gloves and, if necessary, hearing protection.
Do not exceed the speed allowed by the brush and drill.
Do not use a damaged, crooked or unbalanced brush.
Keep flammable materials away from the work area; sparks may be generated from the workpiece.
Not for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Keep out of reach of children.
Frequently Asked Questions, FAQ:
Is a 25 mm brush too small for rust removal? No, it is intended for local cleaning and tight spaces. For large surfaces, choose a larger diameter (e.g. 75–100 mm).
Can the brush be used on stainless steel? Yes. INOX wire reduces iron contamination. Clean the surface after use for best results.
Is it suitable for aluminum? For light deoxidation and roughening, yes. Use light pressure and moderate speed to avoid scratches.
When should you replace the brush? When the wire is unevenly worn, bundles are missing or vibration increases – replace with a new one to ensure safety and a smooth finish.
Recycling instructions:
