Yato Cup brush M6 75 mm RST
Yato Cup Brush M6 75 mm RST is a stainless steel cup-shaped cleaning brush for drilling machines. The crimped wire structure produces a moderate, even cut that is suitable for large surfaces without excessive material removal. The small Ø75 mm size provides good visibility and maneuverability in tight spaces, edges and profiles.
The brush removes rust, flaking paint and oxides and creates a uniform microstructure that improves the adhesion of primers, coatings or adhesives. Stainless steel wire is resistant to moisture and outdoor conditions and reduces the risk of iron contamination on stainless steel surfaces compared to carbon steel wire.
The M6 mounting allows for direct and central mounting in the drill chuck. The adjustable speed makes work manageable even on thin sheets and heat-sensitive surfaces. The cup body distributes the load evenly and reduces edge biting, resulting in a uniform finish ready for further processing.
Intended use:
Removing rust and paint residue from metal surfaces: The corrugated wire opens up corrosion and weak coating layers, creating a uniform roughness that improves primer adhesion. The compact size makes it easy to work on railings, corners and profiles.
Cleaning of oxides and spatter from welding areas: Removes oxides and small spatters from heat zones before grinding, passivation or painting. Uniform brushing reduces the need for subsequent rework.
Surface roughening before coating/gluing: The natural microstructure improves mechanical adhesion without excessive material removal – useful for smooth sheets and thin profiles.
Maintenance in humid and outdoor conditions: The corrosion resistance of INOX wire makes the brush suitable for outdoor steel structures, stair parts, tanks and machine components.
Features:
Diameter: 75 mm – Precise control in tight spaces and around edges.
Mounting: M6 – Direct, centered mounting to drill chuck/adapter.
Bristle material: Stainless steel wire (INOX), crimped wire – Moderate aggressiveness, even finish and corrosion resistance.
Construction: Cup brush – Even contact and minimal edge biting.
Targets: Rust, paint, oxides, light spatter – Pre-cleaning and roughening before surface treatment.
Usage: Adjustable speed – Avoid overheating; work with light to moderate pressure.
Yato Cup Brush M6 75 mm RST – user manual:
Installation: Disconnect the drill from the battery/mains. Attach the brush to the M6 mounting or directly to the chuck centrally; tighten according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Test run: Run briefly in neutral. Stop if any unusual vibration or wobble occurs.
Working: Keep a gentle angle and make even strokes. Let the wavy wire do the work; avoid point-like pressure.
Pause: Stop regularly, remove loose material and check for wear/imbalance.
Maintenance: Clean from dust and shavings, dry and store in a dry place. Do not forcefully straighten twisted wires.
Warnings:
Always wear safety glasses/visors, protective gloves, a respirator suitable for the dust level and, if necessary, hearing protection.
Do not exceed the speed allowed by the brush/machine; avoid imbalance.
Do not use a damaged or crooked brush.
Keep flammable materials away from the work area; sparks may be generated from the workpiece.
Not for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Keep out of reach of children.
Frequently Asked Questions, FAQ:
Why corrugated wire and not braided wire? Corrugated wire is less aggressive and leaves a more uniform roughness on large surfaces; braided wire is more effective on thick rust and slag.
Can I use the brush on stainless steel? Yes. INOX wire reduces the risk of iron contamination. Clean the surface after treatment.
Is the brush suitable for aluminum? For light deoxidation and roughening, yes. Avoid excessive pressure and heat to avoid scratching the surface.
When should you replace the brush? When the wire is unevenly worn, bundles are missing, or vibration increases – replace it with a new one.
Recycling instructions:
Packaging: Cardboard/paper - recycling; any plastic films - plastic collection.
Product: Metal parts (center, wire) - metal collection; other parts according to local regulations.
