Yato Round brush M6 50 mm stainless steel
Yato Round Brush M6 50 mm RST is a crimped round brush that can be attached to a drill for local cleaning, pre-treatment and light roughening. The compact Ø50 mm diameter allows you to work in crevices, edge zones and tight spaces where larger brushes cannot work in a controlled manner.
The brush's INOX (stainless steel) wire reduces cross-contamination of iron particles on stainless and non-ferrous metal surfaces compared to carbon steel wire. The flexibility of the corrugated wire cuts smoothly without the aggressiveness of braided wire, which helps preserve the base material and surface profile, especially during maintenance and finishing work.
The M6 shank attaches directly to a drill chuck or adapter. The adjustable speed allows for optimization of the machining process depending on the material and the target. With the right technique – gentle angle, light to moderate pressure and even strokes – a uniform adhesion surface is achieved before coating or gluing.
Intended use:
Local rust and oxide removal and cleaning of paint/glue residues: The small Ø50 mm brush is suitable for precise work on railing corners, weld seams, threads and mating surfaces. The even cut of the corrugated wire reduces the risk of deep scratches and leaves a controlled roughness for subsequent work steps.
Surface roughening before coating and bonding: The brush creates a uniform microstructure to improve the adhesion of adhesives and coatings. It works especially well for pre-treating small repair areas where a sander cannot fit or where you want to minimize base material removal.
Cleaning threads, sealing surfaces and fittings: Dried compounds, surface rust and dirt are removed without excessive rounding of the thread profile blades when the work is done with light pressure. This facilitates assembly, tightness of joints and maintenance.
Precision maintenance work in tight spaces: The corrosion resistance and low cross-contamination of INOX wire make the brush useful for outdoor and indoor maintenance applications such as equipment cabinets, machine parts and small structures where controlled removal is required.
Features:
Diameter: 50 mm – Precise maneuverability and access to tight spaces.
Mounting: M6 shank – Fits directly into drill chuck/adapter.
Bristle material: Stainless steel wire (INOX), crimped wire – Even cut, low risk of cross-contamination.
Structure: Round brush – Stable contact on long straight strokes and in edge areas.
Applications: Rust, oxides, paint/adhesive residues, light dirt – Pre-cleaning and roughening before further treatments.
Yato Round Brush M6 50 mm RST – user manual:
Installation: Disconnect the drill from the battery/mains. Attach the brush to the chuck/adapter and ensure centering; tighten according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Test run: Run at idle for a few seconds; stop if any unusual vibration, noise or “throwing” occurs.
How to work: Hold the brush at a gentle angle and use light to moderate pressure. Use even strokes; avoid prolonged point contact and heat build-up.
Pause and check: Stop regularly, remove loose material and check the wires for wear. Replace the brush if wires are missing or vibration increases.
Maintenance: Clean from dust and shavings, dry and store in a dry place. Do not straighten twisted wires.
Warnings:
Always wear safety glasses/visors, a respirator suitable for the dust level, and protective gloves; if necessary, wear hearing protection.
Do not exceed the maximum speed allowed by the brush/drill.
Do not use a damaged or unbalanced brush.
Keep flammable materials away from the work area; sparks may be generated from the workpiece.
Not for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Keep out of reach of children.
Removing old coatings can release harmful substances - use local exhaust ventilation and suitable filters.
Frequently Asked Questions, FAQ:
Is crimped wire or braided wire better? Crimped wire cuts evenly and is more moderate – good for finishing and delicate surfaces. Braided wire is stiffer and more aggressive on thick rust and slag.
Can the brush be used on stainless steel? Yes. INOX wire reduces iron contamination. Clean the surface after treatment.
Is it suitable for aluminum and threads? Yes, when you use light pressure and moderate speed. This will avoid excessive roughening and preserve the thread profile.
When should you replace the brush? When there are missing threads, the hub is damaged, or vibration increases – replace with a new one to ensure safety and a smooth track.
Recycling instructions:
