Yato Combination Square 150 mm Spirit Level + Screw Lock is a multi-purpose measuring and marking tool for wood, metal and installation work. The sliding ruler enables quick setting of 90° and 45° angles, checking of internal and external angles and repeatable measurements without separate stops. The length scale makes it easy to measure and transfer distances to the workpiece.
The integrated spirit level supports horizontal position checking during installation and framing work. The screw lock securely fixes the ruler to the selected measurement, which improves repeatability in serial work, such as molding, furniture frames and fitting finished components. The multi-operation frame head acts as both a 90° and 45° reference, and the ruler end is suitable for measuring depth and step depths.
The compact 150 mm length makes the tool agile for marking and inspection measurements in tight spaces. The combination square can also be used with a scriber or thin lead, with the edge of the ruler acting as a protected guide for neat markings.

Intended use:

Angle setting and checking (90°/45°): The frame bevel and square allow for quick checking and marking of both 90-degree and 45-degree angles. This is useful in mitre moldings, frame constructions and framing where angle errors are easily repeated if the reference is not repeatable.

Measuring, transfer measurement and depth measurement: The 150 mm ruler allows for quick length and distance measurements. The sliding position acts as a “stopper” that allows you to transfer the same measurement to multiple pieces without re-measuring. Depth measurements, checking countersinks or grooves and comparing step depths are all done using the end of the ruler.

Level checking and light installations: The integrated spirit level helps with position checking, such as ensuring the horizontality of small shelves, moldings and fittings. This reduces the need to change separate tools on the job site.

Marking and scribing line control: The edge of the ruler acts as a guide for the scriber or pencil, ensuring that the marking lines remain straight and repeatable. Especially with repetitive edge distances (e.g. screw pitches), the screw lock ensures the same setting from piece to piece.

Features:

Length: 150 mm – A nimble measure for tight spaces and quick marking.

Angle references: 90° and 45° – Quick angle setting and checking.

Locking: Screw lock – Ensures repeatable dimensions and stable operation.

Level check: Integrated spirit level – Verification of the horizontality of the base level during installations.

Scale: Clear measurement markings – Dimension, displacement and depth measurements without separate tools.

Body and ruler: Metal body and sliding blade – Stable control and neat markings.

Applications: Wood, sheet metal and light metal work – Marking, layout and quality assurance before fastening.

Yato Combination Square 150 mm – user manual:

Setting: Loosen the screw lock, slide the ruler to the desired length and tighten the lock securely.

90°/45° marking: Place the frame bevel or square against the edge of the piece. Draw a line along the edge guided by the ruler.

Depth measurement: Place the ruler in the hole/groove and read the depth from the scale; lock the measurement for transfer.

Level check: Use a spirit level to assess horizontalness; make fine adjustments until the bubble is centered.

Maintenance: Keep the scale clean from dust and dirt; tighten the lock lightly – avoid overtightening.

Warnings:

Avoid getting the sliding ruler caught between your fingers when tightening (risk of crushing).

Do not use a damaged or bent square – risk of measurement errors.

If the vial of the spirit level breaks, avoid contact with the liquid and replace the tool.

Store dry; wipe metal surfaces after use to prevent corrosion.

Frequently Asked Questions, FAQ:
Can I use the tool for mitre marking? Yes, the 45° bevel makes it easy to quickly mark and check mitres.
How to make a transfer measurement? Lock the ruler at the desired measurement with the screw lock and use the same position to mark multiple pieces.
Is the tool recalibrated? If the tool has been impacted, check the 90° reference, for example against a known accuracy line; replace the tool if an error occurs.
Can I measure depths? Yes, the ruler head acts as a depth gauge for grooves, countersinks and drilling.
